BURNED TOAST
"When I was a little girl, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work.
On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned toast in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that toast and eat every bite!
When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the toast. And! I'll never forget what he said: 'Baby, I love burned toast.'
Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if He really liked his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, 'Debbie, your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides-a little burnt toast never hurt anyone!' You know, life is full of imperfect things....and imperfect people. I'm not the best housekeeper or cook.
What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each other's a fault - and choosing to celebrate each other’s differences - is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.
And that's my prayer for all of us today. That we will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of our life and lay them at the feet of GOD. Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give us a relationship where burnt toast isn't a deal-breaker! We could extend this to any relationship in fact - as understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!!
So, never let disappointments cause us to lose hope, for God is always with us. Therefore my friends,
REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS. I WILL SAY AGAIN REJOICE. ( PHILIPPIANS 4:4 )
The Beauty of Life does not depend on how happy you are…
But how happy others can be…Because of You!!!

The HOLY Alphabet
Although things are not perfect Because of trial or pain Continue in thanksgiving Do not begin to blame Even when the times are hard Fierce winds are bound to blow God is forever able Hold on to what you know Imagine life without His love Joy would cease to be Keep thanking Him for all the things Love imparts to thee Move out of "Camp Complaining" No weapon that is known On earth can yield the power Praise can do alone Quit looking at the future Redeem the time at hand Start every day with worship To "thank" is a command Until we see Him coming Victorious in the sky We'll run the race with gratitude Xalting God most high Yes, there'll be good times and yes, some will be bad, but... Zion awaits us in glory...where none are ever sad! Remember . . . . The shortest distance between a problem and it's solution is the distance between your knees and the floor. The one who kneels before the Lord can stand up to anything. |

HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Try everything twice. On one woman's tombstone she said she wanted this epitaph: Tried everything twice...loved it both times!
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down. ( Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches)
3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle.' An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer’s!
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER.
6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love: Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, and hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, or a trip to the next county or a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity. I love you, my special friend.
11. Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second chance.
And if you don't send this to at least 4 people - who cares?
But I hope you share it with someone.
Remember! Lost time can never be found.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Presence of Mind
In a shop a man asked for 1/2 kg of butter.
The salesperson, a young boy, said that only 1kg packs were available in the shop, but the customer insisted on buying only 1/2 kg. So the boy went inside to the manager's room and said "An idiot outside wants to buy only 1/2 kg of butter". To his surprise, the customer was standing behind him. So the boy added
immediately, "And this gentleman wants to buy the other half!!!!!!".
After the customer left, the manager said "You have saved your position by being clever enough at the right time. Where do you come from? To this the boy said, "I come from Mexico . The place consists of only prostitutes and football players!!!!!".
"Believe in your presence of mind and never panic".
